Happenings In February 23, 2024 Lunch a seminar “ BASURA KO, LINS KO” Advocacy to Prevent A Single use plastic in DCC Campus .To protect the environment, this policy complies with City Ordinance No. 0500-21 Series of 2021.
The policy seeks to achieve zero waste in the production of items made of plastic, including cellophane, plastic cups, buntings, and other materials in keeping with discipline, one of Davao Central College's Core Values. It is required of the staff, instructors, and students to use reusable items more frequently than single-use ones.
During the announcement of the "No Single-Use Plastic" policy, there was also discussion about the importance of waste segregation. Students need to understand the correct way to separate their trash. As the trash cans are appropriately labeled, children should exercise caution when getting rid of their trash. One of the contestants for the digital poster contest, Ms. Chua, claims that "Nature is bound to suffer, and your action creates a big impact" as she explains the significance of her winning entry. The adoption is a step toward making the campus cleaner and more environmentally friendly for a more sustainable environment. It's also an activity that makes it possible for all students to take ownership of the school and function as an agent for the development of a sustainable environment.
